Tips For Math Exam

Test and exam is the time, which is feared by every student. Math subject is one of the most trickiest and tough subject. Even students of colleges are not very enthusiastic when it comes about this subject. Getting all the concepts clear is very important, as they are the building blocks of the subject. Some are prepared while some feel that they need to prepare for the exam. It is important that every student feels confident before attempting the exam. Here are some tips for test prep in math that can help students.

Stop cramming
Cramming is one habit that is adopted by every student. Day before the exam, every student opens his book and then starts learning, but math is not a subject that can be learnt. Cramming formulas and steps of a question will not help in the exam. It is not necessary that the same questions will be in the exam that was in the book. Math is a subject that needs practice and without it questions are not easy to solve.

Expectations from the exam
There are times when the test has unfixed number of questions from all chapters but there are at times when a test structure is told before the exam. Total marks questions expected from a chapter are told to the students that give a rough idea about which chapter is more important and prepare accordingly to it.

Mock test
Few days before the start of the exam, start practicing mock papers in the given time limit. Mock test papers are similar to the final paper so it will be a nice practice if one can get to practice them. Try to finish the questions within the time limit it will help in building up speed with accuracy, as these both things are very important for any test.

Reviewing
Review each topic that is in the syllabus of the exam. Student should make sure that all the basic concepts that revolve around the topic are clear and he has no doubt regarding it. Revise all the topics before the exam. Make flash cards for formulae that are important so that one can keep revising them easily.

Positive attitude
It is important for students that they stay positive. There is no time for getting scared or nervous while preparing for the subject. Getting scared and nervous will only make the student more confuse and will forget what he has learnt.
